This photograph is part of the series "Ndoto ya Ndovu" (Dreaming of Elephants).
The photos were taken while on camel safari in the Ngare Ndare forest in Northern Kenya. An infra red modified camera was used to produce a dreamlike quality of what it feels like searching for elephants in the forest.
This area is one of the remaining protected areas in Northern Kenya. Because of this, elephants are aware that this is a safe area for them. Unfortunately though, they are over feeding it, and the trees do not have a chance to recover.
10% of the purchase price will be donated to The Watering Hole Foundation to help conserve this sacred forest and for anti-poaching efforts.
Photograph is unframed and printed on fine art archival paper.
